After Etsy sent me my stats this morning I want to talk more about Etsy and why I left it and also talk about the last 5 years you could see I used it less and less I was still making more each year but because of fees and them allowing their clients to defraud you without any way to stop it I had to start selling my jewelry through private invoices and Venmo I get asked a lot of the time why aren’t you updating your shop the last few year as much and you can see last year I did almost nothing it was super hit and miss with Etsy and if you are a small business my advice is make your own website from the very beginning don’t give them the ridiculous fees they ask for or deal with insane account holds
I’m not a huge silver seller it’s always been a side hustle/passion but Etsy will not help your business like you think it will or at least like they used too I’m thankful I’ve had other avenues for my sales this last five years because this would have crushed me to see the decline also thank you to all my customers friends and family who have supported my small business thro the years 💕🙏🏼

Thank you to all of the encouraging words and messages, I’m blown away at the compassion that Instagram still has at times and it reminds me that what I’m doing is absolutely meaningful and I need to continue. So I spent the better part of today working on getting my website ready. I am going to spend the rest of the night uploading my jewelry that is already finished. I will be also adding custom options for a short time so take advantage of those as they will not last long. I also wanna say any of my rings can be changed in sizes so if you see a ring on the website and you wonder if you can get it in a certain size you absolutely can unless it is an opal I do not reset those ones after I set them.

The owl topper started all of this so thx @potterybarnteen for making the coolest tree topper 🦉 I’ve EVER seen.
I bought it months ago and have been trying to decide what to do with the rest of the tree and so of course I did the only thing there was to do spend more money and make the Christmas tree of my teenage dream in my 30s 😂

Probably wasn’t ment for me to enjoy this much but I’ve never understood having that one super special tree topper tell I seen this magnificent thing on an Instagram add I couldn’t get my card out fast enough.
So here we are and I’m completely happy and this time my impulsive spending was exactly what my home needed this holiday season🎄 #harrypotterbaby #harry_potter

Someone once told me that the lepidolite is a quiet whisper of peace wrapped in light ☀️ and that has always stuck with me it’s a stone I always seem to be pulled to especially on the harder days I think everybody should have at least one the lepidolite piece in their collection and once you have one you’ll understand it’s also called the stone of mourning to help when dealing with a great loss.
I found this stone when I lost my dog who left such a wake in our household I couldn’t figure out why I it had just surpassed all the other stones at that time for me but then finding its meaning it all made sense. As I sit still working on my website I was looking back on my reviews and how many things I’ve sold on Etsy I’ve sold way more on instagram but getting to have a spot where you get to see a perfect 5 star 🌟 rating just hits differently as I’m about to shut down my shop this is making me have pause maybe I’ll keep both I’ve seen a few smiths do that just way to hard to just erase all these beautiful things said about my work over the years idk what do you guys think I start a link tree and have them both?
